If you are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, in distress, or struggling with relational problems or other life challenges, counselling can give you the confidential safe place to explore these issues.
You are the expert on you and counselling isn’t about being told what you should or shouldn’t do, it is a non-judgemental welcoming environment for you to work through decisions, strategies and find ways to live your life in a way that you are happy with. I can help you find your inner resources for change and your own personal growth.
I am a qualified gestalt counsellor and a qualified clinical supervisor. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I am fully insured and hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate.
I work with adults, adolescents, children and families; offering face to face sessions or sessions via an online platform (Zoom or similar). Alongside my private practice I work for a local young people’s charity; Eastleigh Youth Counselling Service. I also provide counselling for Abby’s Heroes, a local charity offering counselling to family members who have a young person under the care of the Piam Brown ward or the Teenagers and Young Adults wards at Southampton General Hospital. In addition to this, I am also an Adult Community Learning Tutor in Counselling, teaching adult learners at a local college.
I acknowledge that seeking counselling can be challenging alone and therefore I am more than happy to come to you in the comfort of your own home, alternatively I can offer a safe secure counselling room.
Short or long term counselling is offered; this can be discussed in an initial assessment session; our counselling relationship is priority.
I can also offer telephone counselling. This can help if you are not local and/or require more unsociable hours. Flexibility can also be considered to accommodate shift patterns (where possible).
I am local to the Eastleigh area and can cover Southampton, Winchester and surrounding areas.
